Bowie CLAW attended Bowie’s National Night Out event, hosted by the City of Bowie Police Department, on Tuesday August 5, 2014. The event was held at Allen Pond Park.
Bowie CLAW talked with members of the community about animal safety, including the importance of micro-chips and spaying/neutering your pets, Bowie Animal Control’s Pet Alert, canine leash safety, and hot weather tips. The Bowie CLAW Dog even came out and painted dozens of faces!
The event also included safety presentations by Bowie Police officers, fire extinguisher training for the kids, Pudge the mini-horse, Bowie Police Chief John Nesky in the dunk tank, a visit from House Minority Whip and Bowie’s US Congressman Steny Hoyer (D), visits from City of Bowie officials, and lots of great vendors.
If you didn’t make it out this year, we hope to see you next time!
